Approximatley 20-25 hours/week. Flexible weekday hours, Monday - Friday.
This position will work closely with branch staff in relation to the daily cash deposit, and file maintenance administrative duties. This position requires a 'See It Own It' attitude.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Serve as role model to members and Y staff and, at all times live the mission, vision, and values of the YMCA movement.
- Process and deposit daily cash for all YMCA of the Iowa Mississippi Valley branches.
- Perform various administrative duties and assists with membership.
- Process agency membership requests.
- Mail membership letters.
- Back-up for the Membership Data Specialist position.
- Support and back up financial services team members as needed.
- Travel to branches one day each week to pick up money bags.
- Assist as backup for welcome center staff as needed.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and confidentiality in all matters.
- Maintain certifications listed under Certificates and Other Requirements if needed.
- Adherence to all policies and procedures of YMCA of Iowa Mississippi Valley.
- Understand and follow all safety rules and regulations including knowledge of emergency
procedures and location of emergency equipment.
- Regular and timely adherence to respective work schedule/meetings.
- All other duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Operations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior database experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with Excel and/or Google Sheets.
- Previous customer service and cash handling experience required.
CERTIFICATIONS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to pass background check

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee primarily works in an office environment but is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts associated with fitness and commercial cleaning equipment. The noise level in the work environment can vary from quiet to moderate during office hours and moderate to loud during event hours. This position works a standard work week, but additionally may be required to work evening, weekend, and additional hours to accommodate membership and branch activities and when representing the organization and events.
